More Blessings

This past one week has been quite a hectic one and that is the reason why I delayed this post. I hope you will bear with me…Last Saturday saw the launch of BHARATWALLA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION {Kenyans who went to India for Higher Education} at the Nairobi Club amidst festivities that lasted the whole night…What a night that was! The people who turned up included Ministers, Members of Parliament , Judges, Cabinet Secretaries, Permanent Secretaries, Ambassadors and very many prominent people of the Kenyan society. India has certainly done them well and it is good to see them acknowledging this fact. There is definitely an invisible bond between these two countries as I have experienced over the years.

I was humbled and honored beyond words that they thought of asking me to be one of the speakers for the night. As each speaker came and did a walk down the memory lane with their experiences as students in India, I was the only one who reminisced my experiences as a 24-year-old here in Kenya thirty plus years ago and what Kenya has done for me to make a difference in the lives of the people around me. But I thank God and my parents for giving me roots and then wings to fly. Those roots are what gave strength for my flight…

To understand the magnitude of what I am talking about, you need to read my autobiography RAINBOWS IN MY CLOUDS… The book is being launched in Dubai next week on Friday, the 3rd of June, as part of the Independence Day celebrations, by the Kenyan Consulate. If you are in Dubai please come and be part of this event at 10.30am at the INDIA CLUB. I look forward to seeing you all there.
