What is the most valuable thing in our lives? This is a question I’m sure most, if not all of us, ask ourselves.
To some of you, what you value most, maybe a mundane object like a pair of shoes, a wrist watch, a diamond ring, an expensive dress you bought at a fancy mall, a pet, a car or some other commodity that often define our day-to-day existence.
In my autobiography, Rainbows in my Clouds, I talk about what matters to me the most…My Moments that are irreplaceable, Moments that are invaluable, Moments that are precious … Moments with people I love and cherish most in this life…Those moments even make our memories so beautiful that you wanna hold on to them forever as they did this month… I remember; the moments before losing my only brother on the 6th of this month 12 years ago, My Mom’s and Dad’s birthdays that we used to celebrate just five days apart…every 20th and 25th of April without fail… Those magnificent and awesome memories keeps me going even now… Everything else is just vanity.
As we celebrate Earth Day this April, ask yourself what is it that you have attached value to? I wouldn’t know. But, please, have a moment of reflection and pose this fundamental question to yourself.
